Don’t be holding it.
Or do.
Every grab of the potato adds ten seconds to the clock. When the clock hits zero, whoever is holding it takes half the pot. The last ten hands before them split another 20%.

How the pot is cut
- 50% the last holder when the clock hits zero
- 20% the ten hands before them, split evenly
- 20% seeds the next round’s pot
- 10% burned
Every grab
The last 10% pays the player you snatched it from — so holding pays, even when you lose it. The team earns only the 2% creator fee on $SPUD trades.

Can someone snipe it at the last second?
Yes — that’s the game. Each grab adds ten seconds, so a snipe just starts another fight. The clock never goes above 24 hours.
What if nobody grabs for a whole day?
Then the current holder wins. Patience is a strategy.
Can the team stop the clock or take the pot?
No. The contract has no pause and no withdraw. Payouts go out in the same transaction that ends the round.
